LARGEST CHA CHA CHA DANCE

Kidapawan city broke the Guinness World Record for having the largest number of participants dancing the Cha Cha at the same time last August 30, 2016. This became the highlight event during the Kasadya sa Timpupo Festival.

Joined by exactly 14, 275 participants composed of mostly students from elementary, high school, college, government employees, and even senior citizens, our city beats the former record holder: Singapore, which had 3, 379 participants.

This attempt of the City Government was used as motivation to clear the negative reports that filled the city, as well as to re-build the city's image after the protest rally of almost 5, 000 farmers who demanded rice from the province on April 2016. The Guinness World Record, in a way, changed the image of Kidapawan, bringing pride and joy to the city.
