Kidapawan's Fruit Festival

The Kasadya sa Timpupo Festival falls annually during the month of August. It is a celebration of the life of Kidapawan's tribe and culture, as well as a showcase of the bountiful harvest of tropical fruits the city has to offer.

Timpupo is the Manobo and Mindanao Bisaya term for "harvest", it is often used to describe harvesting fruits. Kidapawan is always known to be the "City of Fruits" where it is one of the main producer of fruits in the country.

Kidapawan welcomed the festival with the Kiay Kiay sa Dalan, headed by the Department of Education - Kidapawan City Division, locals and visitors watched as different schools under the DepEd graced the streets of Kidapawan with a display of arts, talent and beautiful masterpiece.

Among the many highlights of this year's celebration is: City Wide Tree Planting, Binibining Kalikasan 2018, Agro Trade Fair & Food Exhibit, Farm Family Day, Kidapawan Culture & Arts Exhibit, Tribal Day, Thematic Costume & Float Parade, 71st Foundation Day Program, and the Hiyas sa Timpupo 2018.

The biggest event of this festive occasion would be the Kasadya sa Timpupo: Fruit Eat All You Can, a three-day celebration of sharing the bountiful harvest of tropical fruits in the city for only 50.00 pesos. Locals and visitors from far off places alike get to enjoy as they eat as many fruits as they can (such as: Durian, Mangosteen, Marang, Lanzones, Rambotan).
